Overcoming Cultural Nihilism with Xi Jinping's Cultural Thought:Cultural Logic,Rational Path,and Implementation Methods
General Secretary Xi Jinping's important remarks on Chinese excellent traditional culture,revolutionary cul-ture,and advanced socialist culture correspond to the three major symptoms of eradicating cultural nihilism in tradition-al culture,revolutionary culture,and advanced socialist culture,respectively.These form the cultural logic of dispelling cultural nihilism with Xi Jinping's cultural thought,leading and guiding its rational path and providing an analytical ap-proach for its implementation methods.To dispel cultural nihilism with Xi Jinping's cultural thought,its rational path follows three approaches.The first approach is to dispel the cultural narrative logic of"history—present—future"through"historical review,theoretical clarification and practical verification".The second approach is to dispel the cul-tural construction logic of"reflection—questioning—reevaluation"through"seeking truth from facts,keeping pace with the timesandmaintaining integrity while fostering innovation".The third approach is todispel the cultural development logic of"denigration—belittlement—westernization"through"centering on Chinese characteristics,clarifying theory and its application,and integrating theory with practice".It might be implemented through the following three meth-ods.The firs isfirmly establishing cultural confidence as the basic content of cultural narrative,thereby negating the"rationality"of cultural nihilism from the perspective of cultural narrative.The second is adhering to the"two combi-nations"as the method of cultural construction,thereby negating the"legitimacy"of cultural nihilism from the perspec-tive of cultural construction.And the third is constructing the modern civilization of the Chinese nation as the noble mission of cultural development,thereby negating the"appropriateness"of cultural nihilism from the perspective of cultural development.Dispelling cultural nihilism with Xi Jinping's cultural thought will guide us to face the cultural changes in the context of the unprecedented great changes of the century.
