Transition Characteristics,Practical Dilemma,and Evolution Direction of University Teacher Evaluation System
University teacher evaluation system is not only the important fulcrum of the reform of education evaluation,but also the key to promoting the integrated development of"education,sci-tech,and talents",as well as the construc-tion of a country strong in education.Based on the framework of vertical time axis of"history-current situation-fu-ture",this paper focuses on the expectation gap between the top-level design and practical operation of university teach-er evaluation system,and the questions of"what"and"why".In addition,it clarifies the characteristics of the system during transition,including nature of era,diverse,and advance.In addition,in terms of evaluating concepts,subjects,and practical operations,it addresses the challenges of short-term performance and long-term development,internal domi-nant evaluation and external diversified evaluation,timeliness of evaluation policy,and teacher's professional develop-ment.Considering that,it is necessary to establish a logic mechanism of system development,identity,and reconstruc-tion for the evolution of university teachers'evaluation system.At the same time,given the historical changes,we should innovate on the evaluation concept.Moreover,it is a call to optimize the evaluation body order on the basis of the collaboration,and to regulate the methods of classified evaluation on the basis of activated operation mechanism,so as to further clear the goal and function of the evaluation system.It is hoped that we could promote university teachers'professional development,speed up the construction of high-quality higher education system,and make contributions to building a strong country in education.
