A Research on the Evaluation of Enterprise Cross-Cultural Competence Indicator System Based on the Likert Scale Model——An Analysis of Survey Data from Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in "the Greater Bay Area"
Cross-cultural competence directly influences the advancement and realization of the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area" strategy. This study,based on the Likert scale model,designed a question-naire with an indicator system that encompasses five dimensions:"external capability requirements (cross-cultural adaptability,cross-cultural responsiveness),and internal corporate capabilities (cross-cultural employee manage-ment,cross-cultural market operation,cross-cultural business cooperation)". The survey targeted the cross-cul-tural competence requirements of 246 small and medium-sized enterprises in the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area". Analysis and evaluation of the research data indicate that currently,small and medium-sized enterprises in the Greater Bay Area consider the importance of cross-cultural competence among their employees to be relatively high. Combining the indicator system for cross-cultural competence of small and medium-sized enter-prises with the opportunities and challenges of cross-cultural talent competence in the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area",this study proposes corresponding suggestions,aiming to provide insights for the cultiva-tion of cross-cultural competence talent.
