Combustion Characteristics of Sludge Pyrolysis Gas/Ammonia Swirling Flame
Sludge pyrolysis gas is difficult to effectively utilize, resulting in a large amount of energy waste, while the combustible components such as hydrogen and methane can effectively improve the combustion performance of ammonia fuel. This study analyzed the structure and combustion characteristics of the sludge pyrolysis gas-doped ammonia swirl flame. The effects of the equivalence ratio and ammonia doping ratio on the flame structure were studied through experiments based on the chemiluminescence method. The results indicated that OH* and CH* in swirling combustion flames exhibited the highest radiation intensity under chemical equivalent conditions(φ = 1.0)and fuel-rich conditions(φ = 1.2),respectively.OH* can better characterize flame stability. In the sludge pyrolysis gas/ammonia mixed fuel, the stability of the swirling flame decreases as the ammonia ratio increases.
