Research on China's Calibration against High-standard International Digital Trade Rules
Digital trade,as the most promising emerging form of trade in the current international economic and trade field, continues to drive profound changes in the global economic and trade pattern and accelerates the evolution of the global digital trade governance system.Digital trade has become a focal issue in the reconstruction of international economic and trade rules.China faces many challenges in the process of calibrating against high-standard international digital trade rules and participating in negotiations on digital trade international rules:there are differences between China and developed countries on basic propositions regarding digital trade;calibration against high-standard international digital trade rules needs to be deepened;and there are many limitations to China's participation in negotiations on digital trade international rules. In this regard,China should use the Pilot Free Trade Zone as the carrier, accelerate the improvement of the domestic digital trade rule system;use trade agreement negotiations as a platform to actively participate in the formulation and update of international digital trade rules, and thereby achieve a two-way interaction between domestic rule of law and international rule of law in the field of digital trade.
