Discussing the prevention and control measures of transport stress syndrome in sheep
As commercial sheep farming for meat continues to expand, the frequency and scope of long-distance transportation of sheep have increased significantly.During and after these transports, sheep often suffer from transportation-induced stress syn-dromes.This study examines daily production practices and focuses on observing and treating the complications arising from long-distance transportation in sheep to summarize the factors leading to decreased immune resistance in sheep, which allow pathogenic microorganisms to invade the body and result in various diseases.Afterwards, effective measures were implemented to prevent and control the incidence of transportation stress syndrome in sheep. Finally, treatment experiences and preventive measures were summarized to help breeders and farmers improve their practices.
