Average Annual Growth Rate Calculation of Books and Shelf Reservation Allocation in University Library
The average annual growth rate of books is a common method to predict the growth of books in libraries. This paper analyzes the deviation of the average annual growth rate of books calculated by the current methods in the prediction of book growth, and puts forward a new method named Extraction of root method. And then, the arithmetic of equal difference method and equal ratio method, which use the average annual growth rate to calculate the future book growth are analyzed. Finally, the total amount proportion allocation method and Incremental proportion allocation method are compared, and the demand oriented time-sharing allocation method is proposed. The calculation example shows that the proposed method is superior to the existing two methods in terms of shelf deficiency, shelf surplus and other indicators.
