As a representative project of the press and publishing industry,the Village Library Project has played a key role in improving rural public services,meeting farmers'cultural needs,and enhancing rural cultural literacy.Over the past 20 years of construction and development,while the Village Library has achieved remarkable successes,it has also faced significant challenges.The construction of farmers'subjectivity is fundamental to resolving the predicament of the Village Library.It is essential for promoting the transformation of Village Library governance and ensuring the project's sustainability in the new era.This paper investigates the absence of farmers'subjectivity in the Village Library Project and reconsiders its orientation,function,and mission.On this basis,the paper proposes that the mechanism for generating farmers'subjectivity within the Village Library lies in the processes of dialogue,interaction,connection,and cultivation.
