Multi-objective Optimization Method of Traffic Signal Based on Rules and Simulation
Urban traffic signal optimization is a multi-objective optimization problem.Taking the traffic control problems of urban road sections and intersections as the guide,a set of traffic signal optimization methods for different control strategies is established based on rule base and simulation support.Firstly, the cause analysis database of timing signal problems is established, sorting out 6 control strategies and 17 control methods, and proposing various types of cause diagnosis indicators and judgment conditions based on simulation analysis, electric police data, floating car data, etc.Initial control ideas are proposed for different traffic scenarios to form several signal control schemes as candidates.Secondly, the candidate scenarios are tested through microscopic simulation, with queue length as a constraint and total throughput, delay, and parking as optimization objectives,to obtain a feasible solution set that satisfies the safety and order requirements. The optimal scheme is selected as the strategic-level signal timing plan under the premise of different control requirements. Finally, taking Xinzhou Road in Shenzhen as an example, the reliability of the method and the optimization effect in the actual scenario are verified.
