Based on the analysis of definition and meaning of network reliability, a comprehensive review on the network reliability is presented from the aspects of the existence of paths, the number of paths and the performance of paths, respectively. Moreover, the development trends are discussed and it is pointed out that, considering the dependent and dynamic characteristic of networks, the network reliability based on the performance of network flow will be the hot topic in the future.
