Integrating material ordering with repetitive project scheduling in prefabricated buildings
The materials required for prefabricated building projects, such as prefabricated components, are large in size and quantity, difficult to transport, hard to store, which makes coordinating the material ordering plan with the project construction plan extremely important. For this reason, based on the original Project Scheduling and Material Ordering Problem model, this paper extends a single unit to multiple repeating u-nits according to the characteristics of multi-model repetitive projects, and builds a model for minimizing the total project cost including the material ordering cost.Under the framework of the Genetic Algorithm,com-bined with the Repetitive Scheduling Method and the Maximum Part-period Gain, this paper solves the project scheduling plan and material ordering plan under the optimal mode combination.Through the analysis of real examples and extensive computational experiments, the results show that the optimization method proposed in this paper can obtain a better project scheduling plan and material ordering plan, which can reduce the material ordering cost by 10%to 30%.
