Mao Zedong's Exploration of the Road of Agricultural Modernization in New China:Based on the Examination of The National Agricultural Development Outline from 1956 to 1967
Agriculture is the foundation of people's livelihood and the foundation of a country.At the end of 1955,as the socialist transformation of agriculture was accelerating,in order to better guide agricultural development and provide a direction for the struggle of millions of farmers,Mao Zedong took into account China's current national conditions and the experience of socialist construction both at home and abroad,and formulated The National Agricultural Development Outline from 1956 to 1967,a special plan to guide agricultural development.This plan reflects Mao Zedong's concentrated thinking and practical summary on major issues,such as socialist agricultural production,rural construction,and farmer progress in China.It is a great attempt for the Party to independently explore the path of agricultural modernization in New China.The introduction and implementation of this plan have provided historical experience for the Party to solve the problems of agriculture,rural areas,and farmers in the new era of reform and opening up and socialist modernization construction,and successfully opened up the path of socialist agricultural modernization with Chinese characteristics.
