The police system is an important component of modern countries,and the image of the police is part of the police system.The New Reform in the Late Qing Dynasty was a reform with a focus on modernizing the country,and the establishment of the police system and the shaping of the police image were the main achievements of the New Reforms'efforts to learn from the West.Therefore,the shaping of the police image had to bear the initial mark of the modern state orientation.Both the official and the society contributed to the shaping of the police image,and in a short period of ten years,the police image underwent fundamental changes.These changes were not only the result of the New Reform,but also created conditions for the New Reform,and laid the foundation for the continuous improvement of the police image and ultimately for the construction of the police system and a modern state.
