Embodied Reading:a New Development Path for Rural Reading in the Digital Age
The advent of digital technology has presented significant opportunities for the evolution of embodied reading,offering a novel trajectory for the advancement of rural reading.Drawing upon a comprehensive literature review on reading and embodied reading,this paper undertakes field researches on rural reading in the digital age across 15 towns and villages in Hunan Province,Jiangsu Province,Chongqing City,and Tianjin City,encompassing 6 counties and 6 districts.The research assesses the macro-environmental and micro-level reading conditions currently prevailing in rural areas,and examines the foundations and obstacles in advancing embodied reading in rural communities by employing SWOT-PEST analysis.Building on this foundation,strategies for advancing embodied reading in rural communities are proposed,that is,capitalizing on the current advantages of embodied reading in rural areas and reinforcing its foundations,seizing developmental opportunities to advance and construct embodied reading in rural areas,addressing developmental challenges to enhance the quality of embodied reading in rural areas.
