In the past five years,the research results of Mao Zedong abroad have been quite fruitful,showing the basic situation of hotspot prominence and"multi-faceted blossoming".Mao Zedong's philosophical thought,cultural thought,political thought,international influence,diplomatic thought and military thought have become important topics for foreign scholars to discuss.On the whole,the omni-directional and multi-disciplinary nature of research topics,the diversification of research methods,the emergence of new theoretical growth points,and the persistence of the phenomenon of mixed results have been the distinctive features of foreign Mao studies in recent years.A comprehensive understanding of the latest progress of foreign Mao studies,as well as the critical absorption and reference will be beneficial to the further deepening of Mao studies in the new era.
