Exploration of the Annotation Characteristics of Gu Chen's Annotations of Du Fu's Poems in Pijiang Garden——Taking The Eight Verses to Autumn as an Example
In the early Qing Dynasty,Gu Chen's Annotations of Du Fu's Poems in Pijiang Garden drew inspiration from Qian Qianyi's method of mutual interpretation between poetry and history.While interpreting according to historical events,he also paid attention to poetry text,and was proficient in analyzing the structure of poetic composition.In the context of the times,the poetic sentiment and meaning could be combined with Du Fu's experience and mood to analyze and elucidate in an empathetic way.Taking The Eight Verses to Autumn as an example to explore the annotation characteristics of Annotations of Du Fu's Poems in Pijiang Garden,this paper carries out discussion from three aspects:verifying poetry through history,emphasizing the structure of poetry and annotating with emotions.It examines the inheritance and application of the method of mutual interpretation between poetry and history,identifies its strengths and weaknesses,so as to have a more specific and in-depth cognition of the methods and characteristics of this annotated version of Du Fu's poems.
