The"mass line"is an original theoretical achievement of the Communist Party of China(CPC)in integrating the universal principles of Marxism with China's specific reality.This paper ar-gues that the journalistic practice of"running newspapers by the masses"as a"mass line"is a concrete embodiment of the spirit of"people-centered"party building.In essence,it is the unification of the jour-nalistic ideology and discourse system of the Communist Party of China.On the basis of grasping the truth of the news and respecting the laws of the news,the Party's journalistic work has creatively prac-ticed practical methods such as investigation and research,reporting on typical figures,and organically integrated various forms such as scientific discourse,construction discourse,and party spirit discourse,forming a set of news discourse system of the mass line,which meets the needs of the press to partici-pate in social mobilization and promote social transformation during the revolutionary war period.The practice of"mass newspapers"based on the principle of"mass line"in Yan'an was not only a major at-tempt to construct a discourse system of the Chinese revolution,but also promoted the formation of the discourse system of journalism with Chinese characteristics and the theory of party newspapers.
