Currently,with the major global changes and rapid technological advancements,the landscape of international news communication has been undergoing a profound transformation.Inter-national communication research has faced the dual dilemma of practical passivity and theoretical involu-tion.In addition,it lacks integration and localization in knowledge production and conceptual innova-tion.Thus,there is an urgent need for the academic community to formulate new theoretical paradigms and methodologies.Accordingly,the present study has followed the academic contexts of practice,cul-ture and technology to approach the field of international news research.It has also clearly addressed the importance of adopting"International News Circulation"as a core concept and a theoretical proposi-tion.In addition,to overcome the cognitive limitations of traditional paradigms,this research has used"critical incidents"and"networks"as research subjects and employed a mixed method that integrated computational,quantitative,and qualitative analysis.Finally,to advance the construction of the inde-pendent knowledge system of international communication studies,the current research has discussed the community concept and China-oriented solutions for constructing an international news circulation order.
