How to Tell the story of Chinese Political Culture well?——On the Marginal Strategy of Cross-Cultural Communication
This paper tries to propose a marginal strategy of cross-cultural communication on the basis of dividing the periphery of culture in order to tell the story of Chinese political culture well. The peripheryof culture refers to symbols, external intuitive things and life style, which are communicative and pervious. The periphery of multi-culture has a common meaning space at the level of modernity,Westernization and human emotional instinct, which can span cultural differences and ideological differences. The relevant suggestions include:telling the story of artifacts, that is,thefocus of cross-cultural communication should be on Chinese material abundance and technological progress, which are the most understandable Chinese stories that Westerners can understand;Paying attention to"story of them":to continue to expand and deepen reform and opening up,and show the Western people in China a true, open and inclusive social life;Digging historical stories, that is,showing the historical life of China's socialist revolution and the picture of China's rural life, they can provide imaginative resources for solving the crisis of modernity and the disadvantages of Westernization.
