Discussion of the Theory,Methods,and Practice of Mediatized Ethnographic Research
The emergence of the Internet has made fundamental changes in traditional ethnographic research methods,and how to define the methodology of ethnography research in the context of new media has become a hot topic of academic discussion in recent years.Based on the theory of mediatization,this paper takes Heap's theory of deep mediatization as the main perspective,puts forward the concept of mediatized ethnography,and in combination with this concept,introduces the corresponding qualitative research methods of Heap et al.and summarizes their methodological features such as openness,interpretive,holistic and materiality.Finally,the paper discusses the enlightening significance of mediatized ethnography to the localization practice with the research case.
