The Construction of New Liberal Arts for the Improvement of Knowledge Production——From the Perspective of Anthropology/Ethnology
The disciplinary differentiation has promoted the specialization and efficiency of knowledge production, but there are also problems such as the petrification of disciplinary boundaries, tunnel vision, the fragmentation of knowledge structure, the restriction of efficient allocation of academic resources and innovative breakthroughs.Meanwhile, the construction of New Liberal Arts aims to improve the reliability and validity of the production and reproduction of knowledge in humanities and social sciences, obtaining quality development of higher education. For which, speculative research, positive research and empirical research are three fundamental methodologies. As a discipline with empirical research as the basic mode, the construction of New Liberal Arts in anthropology must be designed around the capabilities of information collection, cultural understanding and theory generalization.Furthermore, the top priority is to advance a knowledge production mode of"seeking knowledge from facts"and a knowledge construction-oriented teaching mode.
