Interdisciplinary research in law encompasses multi-disciplinary,cross-disciplinary and transdisciplinary research, with cross-disciplinary research being the core and transdisciplinary research being the ultimate result of the first two,as well as the ultimate goal of interdisciplinary research. All disciplines have the closeness of knowledge and the conservativeness in research, making it difficult to transfer knowledge between different disciplines. This requires interdisciplinary research with methodological awareness. The methodology of interdisciplinary research in law mainly involves the basic positions and various ways of exchanging and transforming knowledge between different disciplines, and can also be regarded as an epistemological issue of interdisciplinary research in law to some extent.Knowledge transfer, knowledge fusion, and value selection are the three basic ways that law should adopt in interdisciplinary research from its own perspective in epistemology:knowledge transfer achieves interdisciplinary reconstruction in the sense of terminology, knowledge fusion constructs academic propositions across horizons, and value selection determines the stance for legal regulation.
