Food serves not only as the fundamental material sustenance for human existence but also as a cultural and emotional medium deeply embedded in the collective psyche.With advancements in media technology and shifts in societal lifestyles,food videos have emerged as a cultural force,fostering emotional connections among people and shaping a novel cultural landscape.This phenomenon resonates with the optimistic and open-minded sentiments of the Chinese populace,offering them a profound interpretation of a life characterized by abundance,well-being,national security,and stability.Simultaneously,the development of a diverse culture through food-related videos establishes a unique utopian relationship between food and media.It reflects individuals'imagination and contemplation of food and society,continuously evolving the structure and texture of media practices.However,it also gives rise to societal issues such as the loss of expression in elite culture,misguided consumer guidance,and the deviation of cultural subjectivity,particularly evident in media behaviors like mukbang.This study aims to analyze the multifaceted impact of food videos,exploring their role as a potent cultural force that not only entertains but profoundly influences perceptions,emotions,and societal norms.
