Rooted in the survival instinct of humanity,technology enables the continuation of human existence and aids humanity in confronting death.However,technology,an entity seemingly detached from human essence,poses a threat of backlash against humanity.Reflecting on the history of technological development,the relationship between technology and humanity has evolved from technology existing outside of humanity,integrated into humanity,to the process where technology creates digital life.Digital life is the product of technology purifying human nature to an extremely robust and perfect state,bringing forth evil and toxicity.Faced with the increasingly profound threat of digital systems,the materiality and eventuality of human nature become weapons to restrain and combat it.Materiality refers to the shadow of human nature and the indispensable processes of biological life.Digital life represents technology's purification of human nature to an extreme,sterile state,strong and perfect.Materiality,however,can undo the sterile state of human nature,allowing it to return to its essence.Eventuality,on the other hand,refers to the creativity inherent in human nature.Transparent and accurate digits only offer comprehensive judgments;they do not create the future or generate entirely new relationships.Humans,with their unique power of decision-making,can pioneer a new world from ambiguity and chaos.
