Media Action Capability:How Does the Media Promote Public Interest Litigation
Public interest litigation cases significantly impact the healthy development of socioeconomic and economic systems,with the media playing a crucial role in these incidents.This study investigates the media's contribution to public interest litigation by analyzing 32 notable cases from 2015 to 2023.Employing qualitative comparative research analysis(QCA),the study constructs models based on"media logic,""media content logic,"and"media system logic,"with"media logic"serving as the core framework.This approach systematically examines how different media logics influence the social dynamics of public interest litigation and explores the inherent mechanisms and communication processes involved in its evolution.The findings reveal that,compared to traditional media,central media outlets have played a more definitive role in supporting public interest litigation outcomes.The"authoritative media attitude"emerges as a core factor,indicating that the success of public interest litigation is often closely tied to the influence of authoritative media.Additionally,factors such as"media opportunities,""network interaction,"and"media system attributes"are identified as key drivers of court support for public interest litigation.
