Collaborative Communication:A New Paradigm in International Communication
Despite existing research focusing heavily on specific aspects of international communication, there has been less attention on the overall synergy of these elements. This paper introduces the concept of"Collaborative Communication,"defined as a communication model that optimizes information production, sharing, and dissemination through coordinated multi-party efforts to enhance overall effectiveness. This new paradigm is distinguished by multi-party collaboration, systematic operations, and heightened efficiency. It encompasses three core dimensions-agent,content,and channel-and eight forms of synergy:cross-sector,cross-regional,and cross-group synergy at the agent level;agenda, framing, and rhetorical synergy at the content level;and media and industry synergy at the channel level.By examining China's practices, research on collaborative communication contributes to the development of an independent knowledge system in China while offering Chinese insights and solutions for promoting sustainable global development.
