In the new era and the new media environment,it is an important mission for journalism and communication studies scholars to build an independent knowledge system in China.There are three important paths to achieving this:the discipline system,the academic system,and the discourse system.This paper outlines the historical process of building this system,from the practice of local journalism and communication to the transplantation of foreign journalism theories and the introduction of Marxism,then finally to the exploration of localization.Combined with questionnaire analysis of the construction of"three major systems"in national journalism colleges,it summarizes the practical achievements and experiences of building an independent knowledge system of journalism and communication in China.It also analyzes the practical difficulties,such as unreasonable subject setting,insufficient originality,and a lack of autonomy in constructing the discourse system.Based on these analyses,the article points out the future direction of reform and development from the perspectives of the needs of the times,academic consciousness,and theoretical basis.
