Questions of social speed abound in the subtleties of technological change and the niceties of existential experience.Paul Virilio introduced a new theoretical space called dromology through his criticism of the phenomenon of technological acceleration in modem society.From an ontological point of view,he looks at the whole of human history with the logic of technological speed.Based on phenomenology,he"dissects"the shaping of people's"existential existence"by media technology from the existential level.He identifies the logic of speed as the essence and power device of media technology.Virilio strongly criticizes the violence of speed through his philosophical interventions.He creatively realizes the narrative shift of human history from political and economic fields to media technology.He also provides indispensable conceptual resources and a critical vision for understanding the relationship between media technology and contemporary social,political,and cultural patterns.
