The report of the 20th National Congress states that digital economy should lead industrial development and help build a modern industrial system.As an important basic raw material industry that supports the development of agricultural production,infrastructure construction,and other national economic development,the building materials industry has faced a wave of digital transformation and intelligent manufacturing in recent years.Thus,under the background of new industrialization,it is of great significance to use the integration methodology of information technology and industrialization as a theoretical guidance to empower the digital transformation work of building materials enterprises,promote the diversified upgrading of the building materials industry towards high-end,intelligent,and green development,and accelerate the construction of a manufacturing powerhouse.This article systematically investigates the characteristics and challenges of digital transformation in the building materials industry,focusing on the dual pain points of weak technological foundation and data silos during the digital transformation process.It conducts research on the dual wheel drive digital transformation mechanism of capability&data,which has been effectively applied in the three key business lines of research and development,manufacturing,and marketing of building materials enterprises,providing reference and guidance for the digital transformation and upgrading of building materials industry in the context of the digital economy.
