Strategy study on reducing the crowd density of university canteens based on queuing theory
Based on the basic theory of queuing theory, the overall flow of people in the canteen during the peak period of dining is divided into two parts, including the number of queues and the number of diners, the corresponding flow mechanism is analyzed separately, and the change model of the density of the can-teen is established under the premise that the users who arrive at the canteen obey the Poisson distribution.Meanwhile, the simulation is based on MATLAB simulation software, and the actual data of the canteen on the second floor of the plum blossom restaurant of Nanjing university of information science and technology is compared to verify its rationality.Based on the modeling and analysis of the flow density of the existing canteen, two measures of"time-sharing peak"and"encouragement of packaging"are proposed, and the simulation results show that in the case of taking the above two measures at the same time, the peak flow is reduced by 19%,the peak duration is reduced by 44%,and the flow density is reduced by 30%.
