Evaluation of terminal departure curbside parking capacity based on cellular automata
The terminal curbside is a crucial node for passengers to realize the land-air transition,and its scale has a vital impact on the normal operation of the landside traffic.For the individual behavior of drop-off vehicles at the departure curbside of the terminal,an improved simulation model of parking capacity at the departure curbside is proposed based on a cellular automata and the accuracy of the model is verified by using the measured data,and finally the impact of different parking methods and stopping time on the park-ing capacity is analyzed by using this model.The experiment results show that the simulation results are ba-sically consistent with the measured data and can be used to evaluate the departure curbside parking capaci-ty.Apart from this,the vertical parking method can significantly increase the curbside parking capacity with the same size of the curbside,and the curbside parking capacity of both parking methods decreases with the increase of the stopping time.
