Research and design of an indoor AR navigation system
AR navigation is a novel alternative to flat-map navigation, but AR navigation is not yet fully ma-ture.To address the current situation that indoor AR navigation positioning methods and navigation effects are not ideal,a method is proposed to optimize positioning results based on AR marker map combined with visual ranging, and a method is also proposed to calculate the spatial occlusion relationship between virtual road signs and real environment based on depth map to realize virtual and real occlusion,so as to create a seamless integration of virtual and real AR navigation experience.Based on these two methods, the Unity3D engine is adopted to develop an AR navigation system. In the proposed system, the AR marker map com-bined with visual ranging is used to perform localization, the depth map is used to perform virtual-real oc-clusion,and AI pathfinding component of Unity is used to calculate the navigation path. The experiment re-sults demonstrate the applicability of the proposed system is suitable for indoor places like libraries.
