Study on gearbox noise reduction based on dichotomy method
In order to solve the problem of severe vibration response and excessive radiation noise when the gearbox of a household electric appliance is working.Based on the principle of active control and dichoto-my,finite element method and boundary element method are used to evaluate the noise reduction of differ-ent application positions of secondary force sources without affecting the external structure size of the gear-box.The results show that the secondary force source is applied to the surface of the gearbox box as deter-mined by the dichotomy method, the mean sound pressure level of the gearbox radiated noise is 59.619dB in the frequency of 500Hz~2500Hz,which is 8.997 dB lower than that without control. It provides some reference for the research of vibration and noise reduction of this kind of products.
