Research on the Role and Effect of NIST in the Electronic Information Field Standardization of America
This paper analyzes the role of National Institute of Standards and Technology(NIST)in standardization strategy,technology innovation and advanced manufacturing,especially in fields of electronic information technology such as artificial intelligence and integrated circuits.Several typical practices of NIST are studied in standards coordination,innovation network,benchmark,performance excellence program,etc.The experience of NIST in full-chain standardization work is summarized,some enlightenments and suggestions are also put forward.
