Strategic emerging industries are important force to guide future economic and social development,and accelerating the cultivation and development of strategic emerging industries is of great strategic significance to promoting China's modernization.The new generation of information technology(NGIT)is one of the important components of strategic emerging industries,which has the characteristics of high scientific and technological content,strong linkage effect and wide application.Since the"14th Five-Year Plan",the rapid development of NGIT has greatly improved production efficiency and has become an important part of international competition.Focusing on the development of strategic emerging industries and NGIT,this paper clarifies the status and role of NGIT in the development of strategic emerging industries through literature research and case analysis,then further explores the future development trend of NGIT,and discusses the challenges faced during developing.Finally,combined with the characteristics of development,this paper puts forward the development path of accelerating the innovation of NGIT from four aspects:layout basic theories and technological frameworks,strengthen international cooperation,enhance technological innovation capabilities and increase security guarantees,which has a guiding role in the scientific development of strategic emerging industries in the future.
