Modal Analysis of Automotive Front Subframe under Different Boundary Conditions
In order to guide the subframe modal decomposition and target setting, and improve the subframe dynamic performance, the modal characteristics of the front subframe of the vehicle under different boundary conditions are discussed. The subframe simulation model is established by HyperMesh software, the orthogonal experimental design is carried out for the boundary conditions of the service state and the rigid state, and the numerical calculation and comparative analysis of subframe modalities are carried out by OptiStruct software. The results show that the stiffness of the body connection point is the main factor to determine the modal characteristics of the subframe, while the stiffness of the rubber bushings of the lower control arm, stabilizer bar and steering gear connection point is the secondary factor to influence the modal characteristics of the subframe. In addition, the subframe modalities vary greatly with different boundary conditions,so that the subframe modal decomposition and target setting should be made according to the specific boundary conditions.
