Study on Properties of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete Under Freeze-thaw Cycle
In order to study the influence of steel fiber on the frost resistance of concrete, different fractions of steel fiber were added to concrete to measure the performance of concrete mix and the mechanical properties after 28 days standard curing.Meanwhile,freeze-thaw tests were carried out on the steel fiber concrete after forming by using the fast freezing method and the influences of the number of freeze-thaw cycles on the mass loss and relative dynamic elastic modulus changes of steel fiber concrete were analyzed. The flexural strength of frozen specimens was measured, and the flexural strength retention rate was calculated to evaluate its frost resistance. The research shows that adding appropriate steel fiber into concrete can effectively prevent the occurrence and development of micro-cracks in concrete, and improve the mechanical properties and frost resistance of concrete. When the steel fiber content is 60 kg/m3,the performance of concrete mixture is good, the bending strength, frost resistance and the retention rate of bending strength after freezing are significantly improved.
