In order to adapt to the rapid development of biological sciences,the sixth edition of the classic textbook on life sci-ences"Biostatistics"was published by the Science Press in 2023.This edition has adjusted the structure and content of certain chapters based on the previous five editions.In this textbook,non-parametric tests,statistical analysis of crossover design and uniform design had been added,as well as contingency analysis was supplemented.It has expanded the related content of de-scriptive statistics and strengthened the concept of graphical representation in statistics.Additionally,QR codes have been intro-duced,linking to digital teaching resources such as knowledge expansion,video explanations,exercise solutions,and teaching reference materials,providing support for the reform of biostatistics education.
