Promoting High-quality Population Development through Digital Technology——Transnational Empirical Research Based on Health Human Capital
Digital technologies have played a positive role in promoting economic growth and improving social well-being,becoming an important engine for achieving high-quality economic and social development.Digit-al technology is an important way to promote the accumulation of health human capital and a key support for a-chieving high-quality population development.This paper systematically expounds the logical mechanism of digital technology promoting the accumulation of health human capital from the theoretical level,and empiri-cally tests the specific impacts of digital technology on the accumulation of health human capital from two di-mensions of population"life length and life quality"by using the transnational panel data of 118 countries from 1990 to 2020 and the differences in economic development levels of different countries.We found that the wide application of digital technology in the field of health can help reduce the mortality rate and increase the healthy life expectancy of the population,thus promoting the accumulation of health human capital.It can be achieved by improving the efficiency of government health expenditure,improving digital health literacy,in-creasing leisure time and promoting environmental improvement.The differences in digital technologies'ability to improve health and human resources are closely related to the disparities in national economic development levels.Based on the above analysis,the research believes that we should increase medical technology innova-tion,give full play to the advantages of the new nationwide system,focus on technical research,realize the in-tegration of modern digital technology,medical and health big data,medical whole process,and multi-factor of relevant parties in the medical and health industry,and innovate and develop the Chinese-style precision medicine development model.
