Effect of Ag+ on the Morphologies and Properties of Polyaniline
Approach to control polyaniline(PANI) morphologies through doping Ag ions during the conventional chemical oxidative polymerization was reported, and the effects of silver ions on morphologies and properties of PANI was investigated.SEM and XRD analysis results indicate that the morphologies of PANI change from micro-spheres to fibrillar bundles with increasing silver nitride concentration.UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy and FT-IR analysis prove that the balance of oxidized and reduced units of PANI becomes large with increasing silver nitride concentration. The conductivity test prove that the conductivity increases with increasing silver nitride concentration up to 10 (molar ratio of PANI to silver ion),the conductivity of PANI/Ag is 1.62 S·cm-1,which is about 18 times higher than that of pure PANI.
