This article reviews the research progress on the application of rare metal elements in cemented carbides at home and abroad.The effects of four types of elements,including rare refractory metals,rare earths,rare and precious metals,and rare-scattered metals,on the microstructure and properties of cemen-ted carbides are analyzed,and the application prospects of rare metal elements in cemented carbides is also suggested.
