Problems and Countermeasures of Home-Based Elderly Care Services in China
Family elderly care is a traditional support model in China,and home-based elderly care services refer to the social service model that provides assistance to elderly people living at home.In the past 20 years,China's construction of home-based elderly care services has achieved certain progress,but there are also problems such as insufficient matching between supply and demand,policy preference for the building of facilities rather than services,insufficient demand identification and low service utilization rates,and weakened family responsibilities,etc.In the future,it is necessary to develop community-based and family-centered elderly care services with Chinese characteristics,improve family care support policies,build a community for living,establish a community with collaborative sharing mechanism,promote the coordinated development of facilities and services,and enhance the professional service capabilities of the community.
