Current Situation,Existing Problems and Countermeasures of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Development in Gonjo County,Xizang Province
Driven by the"One Village,One Product"initiative in Tibet,Gonjo County has been actively promoting the development of the Awang sheep breeding and livestock industry,continually enhancing the"high-quality,high-yield"sheep development system.Over the past few years,sig-nificant progress has been achieved.However,with the local economy development and population growth,it has become evident that the develop-ment of the livestock and breeding sector in Gonjo County cannot solely rely on the local ecosystem.Instead,it must establish an exchange of re-sources with agriculture to support animal husbandry.The implementation of a strategy that combines"agriculture supporting animal husbandry"and"animal husbandry boosting agriculture"can reduce the natural resource consumption in pastoral areas,while increase the feed source for animals like sheep,and then promote the implementation of the rural revitalization policy in Gonjo County,and ensure the sustainable development of both ag-riculture and animal husbandry.
