Bovine lumpy skin disease(LSD)is an infectious disease caused by the lumpy skin disease virus(LSDV)in the genus Poxvirus of the fam-ily Poxviridae.It causes elevated body temperature,nodular lesions in the skin,mucous membranes,and internal organs of cattle,leading to de-creased production performance and even death,resulting in serious economic losses.This article reviews the etiology,epidemiology,clinical symp-toms and pathological changes,diagnostic methods,prevention and treatment measures of bovine nodular skin disease from multiple aspects,in or-der to provide reference for the prevention and control of bovine nodular skin disease.
