The Poetic Thought and Creative Practice of Liu Yongzhi,a Poet of the Jiangyou School
Liu Yongzhi lived in seclusion at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, and was summoned to repair the Book of Rites in the early Ming Dynasty, and later returned with ear sickness. His poems are based on Tao Yuanming and the ancestors of Tang poetry, and praise Meng Haoran,Li Bai,Du Fu,Wei Yingwu, etc.of the Tang Dynasty, advocating that poets should get rid of the burden of"difficulties or success",have talents and interests beyond transcendent things, and oppose"poor and later work".Liu Yongzhi attaches great impor-tance to the poet's character and talent, and believes that he should improve his"talent"and"interest"by learning the knowledge of the ancients.Liu Yongzhi is based on Tang poetry, and his poems also have Tang people's rhyme, and his landscapes, gifts, farewells, and feelings all express his ancient and watered-down aspirations, forming a beautiful and quaint poetry style.Liu Yongzhi's poetic prop-osition and creative practice, the aftermath of the former Chengyuan people's"Emperor Shizong Tang",and the precursor of the later en-lightened early Taiwan pavilion style, have the poetic historical significance of inheriting the past and enlightening the future.
