An Analysis of New Media Account Operation Strategies for Mainstream Media's Foreign Bureaus——A Case Study of CMG Middle East on China Media Group Mobile
Building a comprehensive media communication system is a crucial mission for mainstream media in the new era.As a win-dow through which domestic audiences learn about the world,mainstream media's foreign bureaus are also actively enhancing the con-struction of this all-media communication system by utilizing internet platforms to launch new media platforms and accounts.CMG Middle East,as the official verified account on the new media platform China Media Group Mobile serves as an exemplary model for new media account operations of mainstream media's foreign bureaus.This paper,integrating communication practices,explores its operation-al strategies in five areas:tapping into regional characteristic resources,focusing on hot event topics,paying attention to breaking news,enriching the formats of content presentation,and cultivating the image of celebrity journalists.The aim is to provide insights and refer-ences for the future operations of new media accounts by mainstream media's foreign bureaus.
