The Drum Book Artist is a long novel written by Lao She when he lived in the United States in 1948.After the outbreak of the war of resistance,Lao She lived in Chongqing for eight years,and began to create popular literature with the concept of"country first".The Drum Book Artist is a reversal of Lao She's previous portrayal of the city of Beijing and its people,and completes the construction of the literary space of Chongqing in the wartime through the portrayal of the city's wartime social environment and characters,demonstrating Lao She's change of political concepts and concepts of literary creation.This paper cuts through the angle of literary geography to explain the influence of geographic environment and literary landscape on the construction of Lao She's literary space in Chongqing,to think about the significance and value of Lao She's literary geography construction,and to provide new perspectives for the study of Lao She.
