Progress,Reflection and Outlook on China's Family Elderly Care Research
Currently,China's family elderly care research mainly includes the role of the family in elderly care,changes in family structure and its impact on elderly care,the practical difficulties of family elderly care,support systems,and many other aspects.The characteristics of existing research:the number of research literature is rapidly increasing,with a focus on the practical pressure of family elderly care,reflecting the overall research perspective,mainly using sociological research methods,reflecting family changes and cultural traditions,the research conclusions are both consensus and disagreement.There are still some shortcomings in the existing research on the identification of needs,research perspectives,research methods,theoretical basis,care willingness,care ability,support system,and other aspects of family elderly care.In the future,it is necessary to further deepen research on family elderly care:combining history,reality and the future;combining different institutions and teams;combining care recipients and caregivers research;combining theory,practice and policy research;combining qualitative and quantitative research;combining multidisciplinary methods;combining macro,meso and micro research,actively exploring China solutions and strategies for family elderly care.It is necessary to further stimulate the elderly care resources and potential,strengthen support for family elderly care,and build a development oriented family elderly care support policy system.
