Research on the Traditional Musical Form and Cultural Significance of Lhatse stod gzhas
Stod gzhas is one of the crucial forms of Tibetan musical art,which integrates"song,music,and dance."It is also a folk song and dance art with unique U-Tsang characteristics,colloquial lyrics,extensive and novel content,and harmony in sound.This paper takes Lhatse as the primary research site,known as the origin of stod gzhas.Through the field participant observation,interview,data comparison,as well as the discussion and analysis of the musical characteristics of folk art,including the relationship between the accents and lyrics,the structure of the music form,melody sentence,and the rhythms and beyond.Thus,this paper presents a relatively complete and authentic style and form of the traditional music of Xizang.Subsequently,this paper further interprets the cultural meaning,and it aims to depict the traditional cultural embodiment of stod gzhas and give new significance to its transmission and dissemination.
