Based on the research of relevant scholars at home and abroad,this paper mainly uses a large number of Tibetan literature and other materials as supporting evidence and carries out a comprehensive analysis.This paper aims to sort and analyze through three aspects:the expression and sequence logic of the literature itself,the style and the remains of the works,and the biography of Byiwu Gangpa himself.This work challenges the contemporary academic findings on the Byiwu Gangpa painting school founded in the 13th century.According to the evidence of many relevant documents,the preliminary conclusion is that it would be more historically appropriate that the founding age of the painting school was roughly around the 15th century.
